As a gang tonight we had 7 cars show up at Fuddruckers. It was great to see a few wifes, Kati and Ann, join their guys at the show. A few stayed until after 9 just sitting in the chairs enjoying the cool night air and slinging some bull..

Ron Akerman joins Keith Magee, Hobie Kaptan, and Mark Melvin at the Route 66 Car Show in Canyon Country. Hobie won a throphy for Best Stock Car!

The Annual "Picnic By The Bay" 2004 car show in San Diego at Seaport Village. Nothing new that I was the only AMC there. But a lot of really nice cars to keep the eyeballs busy. Nice setting next to the water and boats. Great raffle, hundreds of prizes including an engine raffle for a Chevy 350.

On Sept. 9, 2004, Alan Clark and myself, Mark, attended the 7th Annual Motor Blow at Bracket Airport. A Ford and Chevy motor were started up at full throttle to see which would last the longest. The Ford won, almost doubling the time of the Chevy.

June 11, 2005 Car Show in Whittier, CA in memory of Mike Rickers, a long time AMC Dealership owner in Southern California.

The 4th Annual Car Classic Show in Pasadena at the Art School of Design. Jeff Teague brought an AMX 3 to park and parked next to Mark Melvin's 69 AMX.

AutoBytel Breakfast Cruise on the morning of July 31, 2005. Located across the street from Orange County Airport, this show had a fair number of really nice cars. Breakfast and coffee were available for a reasonable cost. DJ and music, a good raffle, and throphies at the end.

SoCalAMX's second trip to the Spring Fling. Hobie Kaptan comes in with a 2nd place, and Jack Boughter with 3rd. Congratulations to all the winers!

Hobie Kaptan & Mark Melvin attend the 2006 Orange Car Show. Also showing up without cars were Rich Truesdell and J.R. Wildermuth. Spotted at the show were two Ramblers and a blown engine Metro.
