Welcome to the SoCalAMX's new newsletter. This month is the publication of its fourth issue ever. The newsletter needs a name, help me think of one while you read it! Instead of attaching a large file to an email when I notify you each month the newsletter is ready, I will alert you with a link in the email directing you to come to this page where you can download the file and read it. The November 2008 issue is only about .8 megs in size so for high speed Internet users it will not take long to load your copy. For the still significant number of dial up users this first newsletter will take them around 10 minutes to download, so please be patient. The SoCalAMX newsletter will be published as near as possible on the first day of each month. To submit an article or picture to the newsletter email it to me at markmel@socalamx.net by the 15th day of the month for the following month's newsletter. If you have problems viewing the newsletter in its .pdf format try downloading a fresh copy of Adobe's Acrobat Reader off their web site at adobe.com. There is a new version of Acrobat Reader out now, version 9. Just to let you know, it's a 33meg file, quite large for dial up users. There's another viewer you can use called FoxIt Reader, only a 2meg download. Search Google for it. Mark Melvin |
