*@!$%#*& Fuel Prices, AMC Electric Car Prototype

Since the price of gas is dominating the national news, people are scrambling for alternatives. The funny thing is that AMC already had an electric car. Always ahead of their time...the 1967 3 passenger AMC Armitron electric car prototype.

There is talk of making an AMX/3 reproduction as an electric vehicle.

James Garner racing team, Baja racing ScRambler, very cool. There were several cars, some were 4 X 4 and some were not. There was one on e-bay a couple of years ago I bid on but lost to Fred Phillips of Canada. I spoke with Fred on the phone and the special James Garner decal on the doors were still there, just faded. Fred also owns the 1966 Vignale AMX protoype with rumble seat, the AMX/2 display prototype, an SS/AMX, a low milage Sc/Rambler and many collectable non-AMC's like a Ferrari 250 GTO, impressive collection.
